Major U.S. Energy Company Uses Deceptive Tactics To Fool Citizens

A major U.S. energy companyDuke Energy company and their cohorts, attempted to blind side the population of Florida with legislation that would increase the cost of solar power for residents of the state.

According to the blog SolarCity publishes, Amendment 1 was rejected by the citizens of the state due to some bad publicity and the leak of an audio tape that can be heard here.  In this speech the presenter, Sal Nuzzo, described Amendment 1 as “an incredibly savvy maneuver” that “would completely negate anything they (pro-solar interests) would try to do either legislatively or constitutionally down the road.”  The presentation was given at the 2016 State Energy/Environment Leadership Summit in Nashville, TN.

“This tape shows the extraordinary lengths of deception, the utter disrespect for the Florida voters and the arrogance of the big monopoly utilities embedded in the fraudulent Amendment 1 on the ballot in November,” said Stephen Smith of the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy. “This is not a political left or right issue, this is a fundamental issue of what is right and wrong.”

After learning of this we must ask ourselves the following questions.

  1. Because these giant companies clearly do not have my best interest nor the best interest of my family at heart, how can I trust them to do the right thing for me and my family?
  2. What else are they doing that is counter-productive for my family?
  3. Why are they being so deceitful?
  4. What would I do if it were my company?
  5. How can I regain control in my home?

Here at American Home Energy Alliance we live and work in the community.  We are home owners, coaches, and leaders and we know that it takes tremendous effort and some sacrifice to reclaim our power.  When you’re ready, we’re here to help.
